Warriors pick up summer cheer awards

NEW HAVEN --The Wilton High School varsity cheerleaders went to their annual UCA Camp at Southern Connecticut State University and picked up a series of awards. The Warriors placed third in "Cheer" out of 15 squads, won a "Superior Squad" award (out of 26 teams) and placed third in the "Home Pom Routine." It won the biggest and most anticipated award for the most spirited squad overall -- "The Top Banana." The squad had four seniors who captured the All-Star UCA Award, including captains Theresa Marino and Amanda Sirois as well as Danielle Bohy and Michelle Parisot. Additionally the WHS Junior Varsity Squad won the "Most Improved Squad" Award. |
