Darien Medical Center offers physical therapy

STAMFORD

Stamford Hospital's recently expanded Darien Medical Center offers local residents convenient access to its outpatient rehabilitation and physical therapy services, according to a news release.

The practitioners evaluate each patient's unique condition and develop customized treatment plans to address their short- and long-term needs. Patients receive their one-on-one therapy in the renovated Darien facility and have access to state-of-the-art exercise equipment.

"I had my physical therapy at Darien Medical Center after a hip replacement surgery," said Darien resident Gail Johnson. "I was very impressed with how prompt and knowledgeable the staff members were and how well they addressed my problem."

Maureen Pollart of Darien, who had physical therapy at the Center after a total knee replacement, added: "The facility is fantastic! It is fully equipped, quiet and relaxing and is very conveniently located right here in town. Two of my friends went to the center on my recommendation and were very happy with the services as well."

Deb Nemchek, director of Outpatient Rehab Services, said, "The expansion of Stamford Hospital's Physical Therapy program has allowed us to grow our regional service offerings as well as to bring our rehabilitation services closer to where our patients live, which is especially important in today's busy environment."

Stamford Hospital's outpatient physical therapy services are available at Darien Medical Center Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
